Hi ya,

Step, Battery, EHU, water pump is the usual from what I can remember.  But as you are new to vanning... try to get as much as you can from the dealer.  I would certainly attempt an aquaroll/waterhog and a waste water container.  You can only ask!!!!

Hi

When we changed our caravan we had most things like aquaroll/wastemaster etc.

We got a step, EHU cable, gas regulator, (they swapped our gas cylinder for a full one free) spare wheel, and tool kit (wheel brace and handle, but no jack), and water pump.

We had given the dealer a good hammering price wise, and he wasn't going any lower, so we had to pay for the Battery (our old one was kn at ckered) and Alko Secure wheel lock.

HTH

Paul

We got our Sprite a few weeks ago, we had to barter for the Aquaroll, Waste hog and Battery.

The Major 5 came with the EHU cable and drop pipe for the water (Internal Pump) and a pigtail for the gas bottle.

Where are you getting the Van from?

When we got our second hand van we were told that you just transfer EHU, water hog, Aqua roll, battery, awning, step  etc, but we were given a new water pump and waste hoses. However when we got the new van from the same dealer we got a new EHU, easte hose and step as standard and would need to have bartared for any additional stuff although when we turned up he did give us an additional £500 on our trade in as it was immaculate in his words and we had already agreed a trade in price on his previous knowledge of the van as thay service it for us. So I was well pleased with that.

when we got our first van it came with everything, battery, ehu lead, water & waste containers, awning & carpet, & step. But when we got our new van a couple of months ago all we got was the step & ehu lead! was a little disapointed but had kept the old battery & they fitted it on for us & we had fitted the new 13 pin socket. there was a bloke picking one up at the same time & he got quite annoyed as he had to buy a battery & 13 pin adaptor! why not give the dealer a call & ask them what you get with it & may do a bit of bartering to get the other bits you want! lol

Sprite with step, pump, ehu cable etc etc & sample bottles of toilet fluids.    Had to get aquaroll, waste hog and gas bottle, security stuff and battery.

But our dealer gives everyone £150 start up vouchers to put towards stuff so covered battery, water containers, toilet fluids etc etc.

Perhaps yours does as well.   I think most dealers either give a welcome pack which might include water and waste containers and battery, or vouchers off accessories so you can choose for yourself.

I think the time to find out what comes with your new caravan is when you are doing the deal. You need to negotiate with the salesman for the extras & get everything down on paper before you sign the invoice.

If all it says on your invoice is '1 caravan' then thats all the dealer legally has to give you.

John,

You will get the step, as mentioned above the water pump is part of the caravan so all you will get the the connector/pipe that plugs into the van and goes into the aquaroll. You should also get the pigtail and the waste hoses and the EHU cable.

Which Sprite have you gone for?

You will have good fun with it, we have only been away in ours once and loved it.

The only thing I would say, is before you plug in the EHU make sure the water heater is switched off. Middle switch underneath the main breakers. Otherwise you will trip the heater out, which is what I done and I thought I had broken it.
Then once you have filled the system up with water you can then turn it on.

One other thing we got the anniversary pack and they had forgot to wire the 12v for the external aerial for the radio. I ended up doing this myself.

Other than that we had no issues with the van, it towed well.
