We currently have a special edition van which came from Knowepark, its from their Island range which is based on the Charisma but it has extras such as extractor fan on kitchen roof light, wet locker etc however when we are getting trade in prices all the dealers are basing it on the basic Charisma and are not taking into account the extras it has (although they want to charge for theirs!)
I know with extras you will not get all your money back with them but should they not be taken into consideration at all when trading in?
Has anyone else owned a special edition van and come across this?
Like cars, special editions are valued at no more when you come to sell. When you want to buy, a special edition will be priced higher and advertised as SE!

"If I let go of what I am, I can become what I might be".
yes, we actually went to Knowepark where it originated from and they gave us the worst trade in offer compared to 3 other dealers, we will not be going back there in a hurry!
Shouldn`t be worth any less than `standard` vans, but I wouldn`t necessarily consider paying more.
Used vans I have always believed should be priced on condition rather than age or `trimmings`. A bit like alloys or air-con on a car, the dealer will try to charge more for them, but won`t knock anything off if you don`t want them. Then again, a secondhand whatever-it-is-that-isn`t-fitted-as-standard wouldn`t be worth much in isolation anyway.
