Help, Hubby is getting mighty fed up with me 'cos I just can't pick one. We like the feeling of space in the champagne (or sterling europa 520), a seperate shower is a definate must. I'm just worried that with 2 daughters (6 and 14) we'll all be sat down the front bickering! I've seen the Quasar and like the end kids room but hubbie is worried that the front seats are too small for us, can you take the chest off at night to make a bigger bed? If you could it might sway it - this is our first caravan and I don't want to make a costly mistake. I'm really thinking 4x4 tow car is the way to go so we could tow something a bit heavier. Please give me all your advice so I can stop surfing and start caravaning!

Hi
I am on my second Lunar caravan, each of which came with the central set of drawers. When ordering the van I asked for extra cushions so I could take the drawers out and make a wrap round effect and create more room. The cost of this for my Solaris was £180.00, I cant remember what I paid for this modification for my Quasar. I hope this helps
Sandy

Thanks for the advice, went back to look at the lunar today and the chest does come off easily but then where would I put it when we made the bed up, It doesn't fit under (i know the avondale fits under the bed) so I'd have to leave it on the floor blocking the way. I looked at the price list but seems you cant get extra cushions for this model!! Why? Really like the finish in the lunar seems well made.

Has anyone got a 546? How do you sleep in the front?

Hello. Came upon this by chance. Feel obliged to pass on an interesting bit of parallel thinking expressed by a colleague some time ago. Having produced daughters, grown them, educated them and successfully discouraged them from staying at home, I can imagine your concerns at how your new caravan will be best planned. This will be anathema to campers/caravanners. My colleague said... for the money you outlay on a decent caravan and substantial vehicle to tow it, and the additional running costs, you can have several years worth of rented holiday cottages and b&b's!   Interesting debating point! TTC.

But you can't beat sitting in a camp chair in the evening, with a glass of wine watching the world go by....

If the weather is poor you can hitch up and go!

Or like us, go to France, don't book a site, go where you want, move on when bored!

We looked at the Quasar triple bunk, as we liked the idea of the separate shower, but, the front lounge was just too small and the other problem with moving the chest is that it is also the TV point.

We ended up with a Pageant S7 Bretagne, granted there is no separate shower, but the bigger lounge, cheaper price and std ATC made up for it!!!

Wish we could get a bigger lounge but then the MIRO goes up too, looked at the bailey, loved it and then realised it's just too heavy for our car.  Thanks for replying. Enjoy your Bretagne.
