does anyone know if there is a difference between a normal battery charger and a leisure battery charger,have been given a new l/battery but its been left to go flat and was hoping to charge it up with a normal charger .also cant get the top of to vent it is this a problem?? thanks for any help given

If its on you van while towing its only 12 volt,but it is advised to take it of and charge with a normal charger now and then,but if is totaly flat in may not charge at all now,you will just have to try it.

how flat is flat/if it has gone to far for too long then it will not recover.i use odd times a car charger and it actually does it good because a van charger never gives a full charge boost.some vents do not come off.

The answer to the original question is yes. Michael's link explains the difference between the batteries and specifically refers to ".... appropriate leisure charger..."
