It should also be on one of the windows, but if it's older than 1992 (I think) then I don't know, as that's the first year of CRIS registration (I think).
i have a 1990 avondale leda cheviot, the number is on a plate above the door on the inside, but ive failled to find one on the chassis. maybe its hidden behind the A frame fairing.

My Grampian is a 1991 model, Cris registered. I think avondale were one of the 1st manufacturers to join the scheme?
I cannot find my chassis plate either.
BUT... i am sure i have seen it somewhere in the past.
where did you find it?
Some owners did actually register older vans with cris, I have seen a 1985 caravan with Cris registration papers which was obviously one that was way to early to have been on the scheme automatically.
Some caravans have the 'trailer' chassis number stamped on the A-frame underneath the cowling. Bit of a pain having to remove the cowling to get to it which is why more modern vans have them in more easily read areas.
