Jeez you can get them a lot cheaper if you shop around, I think Towsure do them too.

They will not fit in the battery box if you have 110amp battery but are OK with85amp battery or the ones that turn to lock are ok for 110amp battery

i have the 110 battery and use this type of connector.possibly batteries are different sizes.

If I use a 110 AHr battery I turn the quick release clamps sideways.

One point about leaving the van in storage without a battery is that an alarm (if fitted) will eventually cease to function when its inbuilt battery runs out.

Hi Brian, my caravan alarm system runs on independant batteries which last ages, still got the ones in it that were put in last February (08). A much better system than relying on the caravan battery or mains power as we know the alarm is permanatly functioning and also makes it more difficult for any would be thief to disconnect it, has a tamper system which goes off when the box in the van is lifted from the wall or the alarm is disconected at the noisy bit! Cutting any of the cables also starts the alarm blaring, as I found out when trying to re-route one of the cables! Next time I am going to wear ear plugs! lol

The only problem we have with the caravan battery is since i fitted a posher radio cd player the memory drains the battery when in storage, simple fix was to install a memory off button next to it. After all most areas have different frequencies so it needed to be retuned when we were touring.

I don't think any6 alarms rely solely on the caravan battery - they just use it to keep their own battery topped up.  If an alarm system relied on a leisure battery, a would be thief could just cut-off the supply.
