Not sure if this is in the right section, I'm sure Webby or someone will move it if it isn't.

Having just recently split from my OH I've been left in the lurch regarding this coming bank holiday weekend. I've booked to go to a site about 40 minutes drive from home, but I can't drive, so unless I can find someone to take the caravan there and back for me the weekend just won't happen.

Is there anyone in the Bolton/Darwen/Blackburn/surrounding areas who could collect me from home on Friday, pick up the 2-berth caravan from the storage site (about 5 miles) and take me to the site in Garstang (about 28 miles), then do the reverse journey next Monday? I will of course pay for the cost of petrol/diesel.

For personal reasons I need to get away so if anyone can help me out on this I will be more than grateful. Thanks.

If you look in the caravan section of ebay there are people offering towing services. I dont know what they charge but if you dont have any joy on here they may be worth a try. Good luck.

Have you thought about asking locally, i'm sure there must be someone local who could do with some extra cash and a towbar?  Or one of those ad's in the local paper for a man with a van, they might have a towbar?

I hope you do manage to get away as i'm sure the break would do you the world of good.

Good Luck with the driving lesson's.  It will take a few tries ( this may sound cynical but i do believe that most people fail because there is so much money to be made in failing you but not a lot in passing you) but you will eventually pass and be towing your 'van where ever and whenever you want.

Also, I have not recovered yet from damaging my back, so you would have to wind your own legs and stuff like that.
