It depends what else you are running.
I usually leave mine on overnight so we have hot water for the morning, unless it is very cold and I have the heater on 2Kw all night (usually only in the very depths of winter, the lower setting is plenty high enough normally). Also, I switch it off when cooking, to make sure I don't blow the EHU.
It's nice to have hot water at the turn of a tap, for hand washing, washing up etc.
But if we're not on EHU I only use it occasionally, it's quicker to boil a kettle for washing and washing up.
