I am going to Wales this week (weather better improve!) and I am booked onto a Premium Pitch.  It states water and waste - I have only started caravanning this year so I just need to query something...does this mean that I do not have to go somewhere to fill up my water and empty my wastehog but that I can attach water direct into my caravan and waste pipes into some disposal pipe or does it just mean that I have a water tap so I do not have to travel far to fill up aquaroll?

If it is fancy and has water which I can connect direct into my van do I need a special attachment as all I have is my blue and white connection/pump which goes from van into my aquaroll?

Thank you

You will need a mains adapter for your aqua roll and probably some additional pipe to go from your grey waste to their sewer system. Other than that you will have a tap next to your van. The adaption kit is a little pricey so maybe you should wait to see if it is something you will continue to use.

As far as I know, you need a mains water connection hose, which costs about £45.  This connects from the mains tap on your pitch and goes into your aquaroll and keeps the level of the water topped up, so you don't have to fill the aquaroll.  You then have the pump going from your aquaroll into the van as normal.

The waste pipes that normally go into your wastemaster just go directly into a drain instead, so no more emptying of the wastemaster.

Thank you.  I did think I would need something to connect to the water system.

I will hardly go to a premium site so I won't bother splashing out on the adaption kit.

I will sound like a numpty now, but what is this adaption kit - you mentioned the Aquaroll so I take it it goes from their water outlet into my Aquaroll into my van - I had thought it was fancier than that and went direct into your van via some pipe or other, but just realised there would be no pump then and that would not work!

Have a look at the mains water kits here http://shop.ebay.co.uk/items/_W0QQ_nkwZaquarollQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZR40 , but bear in mind that it may be cheaper to make your own .
What you do is fill your aquaroll from the mains water supply ( tap ) , use the kit as below pic , when your aqua roll fills up the valve will stop the supply ( you can leave the tap turned on all the time during your stay ) . Make sure you have a few different types of hozelock connectors to connect to the tap .

Waste water usually goes via grey waste pipe into a drain , we take 7 mtrs with us but don't always need that much , just leave the excess coiled under the caravan .

Here's mine made it myself .

Cool thanks for second reply.

Hopefully my waste pipes are long enough, looks like I will have to keep topping my Aquaroll up though.

I know where I am at now, thanks.

Thank you for the photo of your homemade piping!   I think I will stick to topping up my Aquaroll.  At least I will have a tap close by!

Cheers everyone

We have one of those, never used it yet!! Good idea though. There is a site near us (Stanwix) that has brilliant pitches (although you pay for them!!They have a drain cover (other than the grey waste drain) that you unscrew and empty your elsan into!! Its brill!! although you do still see people trailing their tanks to the toilet block to empty!! They cant realise unless they are just washing out their tanks.

we never had an aquaroll or water bottle on our old vans but just a whale adaption kit that went direct from tap to van.
