Just heard that Discover at Cannock have closed down, we were only there yesterday and saw a van we wanted and were going to go back and buy it on Saturday!
Thought something was up a few weeks ago when I called there.
There were no second hand vans where before there was a big separate area for them.
Warrington closed in our area a couple of months ago.
Cant be too many branches left.
------------- I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left - Seasick Steve 2008
At Cannock they got rid of all their 2nd hand vans a while ago and said they were using the room for van storage but only ever had 1 van there, I think thats where they fell down, it ended up as all brand new motorhomes and vans which the majority of people can't afford.
They closed 8 of the 16 sites saying they were just shutting the ones with branches nearby but that was just to keep the customers happy. Looks like the whole chain is in trouble.
It is. Share prices are down at rock bottom. My mobile service guy used to work for them and he said that they would only accept cash from him for spares, not credit any more.
I suspect it will not be long before the whole group is in receivership.
I suspect you are right Freeatlast, such a shame because they took over so many small dealerships and are going to leave a lot of people stuck for warranty work etc.
Keep an eye out esther1 or if they announce who the receivers are then contact them! i see you were at Pillaton at Easter, so were we!!!!!!! Small world.

If oyu were after a Bailey you could try Salop Caravans at Cosford, I have had three from them, first class dealers who treat their customers well! They are on the A41 at Cosford
Alternatively Salop at Shrewsbury have a good selection, they do Swift, again a dealer with a good reputation. They are at Emstrey Island off the A5

I too live in Staffordshire and can thoroughly recommend Rydale Leisure at Shepshed, (Junc. 23 on M1, just behind East Midlands Airport) Chris or Paul will see you right, very nice people to deal with and caravanners themselves.
Was at the Weston branch last Sat, the sales site was almost empty and the shop had hardly any stock compaied to my last visit. Now Gary has said it's closing. Shame.Ohh they did seem to have a lot of caravans in storage though.
