Hi Niall, the wood can be plywood from B&Q and then stick wallpaper on it , it will be the cheaper option, there is a slight problem with B&Q type plywood is it's usually 3.6mm or 4mm , add the wall paper thickness to that and you may find when replacing the window seals, that they are a very tight fit. There is wallboard made for caravans which has a covering already on it, and it's the required thickness you'd need, if your lucky you can match the covering to what you already have in your caravan , this should make the repair a bit quicker to do.
Can't say i know the answer to Sikaflex not being flexable , it's sold as being suitable for caravan repairs See_here , i've used it quite a bit and can't say i've had problems with it .

Baranigirl , far as i know you can get polystyrene from Jewsons , but once you have removed the damp wallboard you should be able to dry the area out with a fan heater ( do not leave unattended ) , this should save you having to remove the polystyrene .
