I tried mine today with the supplied dish and using my Lacuna Sat meter , this meter has all the Satellites programmed in , but allthough i got a signal reading the picture quality reading was really low ,so i got my standard skye dish out ,and put in on the tripod , and the first turn round the picture quality went straight up to 80% ,

80% signal is that with a 43, 48 or 60cm dish?

Getting 70 - 74% with the supplied dish, Been looking for a dish to fix to the house but they seem to want more than i paid for the camping setup.

Lidl do have an 80cm dish for £9.99 but missus says NO WAY.. its massive lol

The rain the other day did seem to affect it quite badly, some channels were very pixelated. others were ok.

I normaly use my ,60cm skye dish and skye receiver , which is the same set up i used in the south of France , i only bought the Lidl set because it was so cheap , its handy to keep as a spare in case any thing goe's wrong with my Skye receiver , i also have a quad LNB on the skye dish ,and i also carry a spare length of coax cable in case my neighbours on site are behind an obstruction , they can then hook up to my dish

Tried mine out last night and got good signal from both Astra 28 and 19. Didn't locate Hotbird though. Good pictures and found it very interesting to see what was on Astra 19. Not sure though that live bull fighting is really my thing though. Oh and used the £14.99 satellite meter from B&Q as using it at the dish, I found it easier to get the rough bearing.

We tried our over the weekend but couldnt get a signal, it was saying the one was 80% then the quality was 14%, I'm not sure if we were doing something wrong. We used the saellite finder to point it the right way but still didnt find any channels. We're going to bring it home and try to work it out here.

I bought a kit from Aldi a few weeks ago and I spent about one and a half hours trying to get the quality up to a reasonable figure. Since then I've bought a tripod off ebay for £20 and today all I did was to align one of the tripod legs at 145 degrees which is roughly the position of the satellite then I pointed the dish in line with the tripod leg and the signal quality was 65% , then I loosened the LNB and twisted it slightly tp get a better quality signal.Took me all of 1 minute, chuffed to bits.

I've done this , you've picked up the wrong satellite , switch the sat box off and back on , then have another go . There are 2 satellites close together thats why you sometimes get the wrong one.

Just got one today (missed out on the Lidl kit); just after I'd paid, a nearby bloke said he'd got one previously and it never worked....
When I got it home and checked it, looked as though it had already been out, as the plastic bags containg bits and pieces were already torn open....
However, put it all together, pointed it in what I hoped was about the right direction/angle........
perfect sound and picture first time!!!!!!!!
I have a horrble feeling this is going to be like my caravan reversing - very first attempt - perfect, quick and easy - forever afterwards, need several tries before I get it right.......

Ignore the top signal, 14% on the bottom just means your not aligned with a satellite. Press info on the remote then press number 1 a deep tone can be heard. When you get a signal it will change to a higher pitch tone.

Any neighbours got a dish so you know which direction to point it? Needs to be south facing well south..ish.
