Been away in new to us van last week. All is ok apart from in middle of the week both the electric plug sockets (one of which is the exterior socket) on the door side of the van stopped working! I assumed it was a fuse problem but apart from the fuses front right of the van by the water heater which tell me they are for the car caravan connection lights , i can't find any other fuses! Its a swift fairway 530(based on the challenger) 2004 model. The manual doesn't say where they may be unless i'm missing something!
Would be gratefull of any help
Thanks Deano

There should be a mains box with the circuit breakers somewhere, it should have the rcd and fuses or circuit breakers. They are usually under one of the seat boxes, or in wardrobe.
It could have been the rcd tripping, or one of the breakers, did it happen after plugging something in?

I think it did happen after plugging something in yes.I wasn't there at the time but when i asked what happened that seemed to be the concensus of opinion. I will look again later in the places mentioned and let you know. Thanks for your reply

You may find that the van is OK .The breaker in the site hook up could have tripped out, depends on what rating they are. In France some are 6amp. In uk 10 or 15A.
Each socket on the bollard has a cct breaker, too much load can trip it. Kettles can be a problem, especially if you have water heater fridge etc all on!!

I don't know what electrics these have but my Pennine Pathfinder Folding camper has 3 settings on 1 switch for the power, van (onboard battery), car (if hooked up) and in the middle for mains, perhaps it could be as simply as the switch moved if they are the same?
