Did anyone else catch the caravan feature on the Gadget Show last night (Channel 5) ? They reviewed the Turtle 1200 and the Tab 320 RS.

In much the same style as usual, they did some daft challenges (e.g. cram the most number of people into each van) to see which van was best. The Turtle came out on top because it had more gadgetry - though I think I would be put off by having to go outside to cook.

So not a great test as such, but nice to see caravanning make it into mainstream TV . I did like the look of the Tab though, it would suit 2 people doing lots of touring very well.

I have stopped watching it since susie left.

Shame they couldn't have done a decent review, and the driving leaves a lot to be desired.

Watched this - I thought they did an OK, if mainly jokey, review with a silly conclusion - that the van that was least practical, and least useful, was best.

Could have done without the abuse aimed at caravanners, though. Where people get the idea that caravans are somehow fuddy-duddy I have no idea.
