Just bought a Bailey Pageant three weeks ago, getting a bit worried now, first with damage above the cooker if you use the back two rings and now this dampness, have we done the wrong thing and bought the wrong make of caravan!!!!!
When you say about the damage above the cooker, I think you must be refering to some vans a couple of years ago.
When I heard about this I was concerned but the plastic they use now for the trim is different and it is o.k. when the rings are used. Ours is a 2007.
Could any members who have also had issues with any of BAILEYS CARAVANS please briefly list their details om my Thread ie DAMP AND MOULDY RANGER
As we can prove that this is a COMMON PROBLEM / MANUFACTURING FAULT it will strengthen our case , ie and highlight how they deal with their customers
As it appears that there is a BATCH FAULT WITH THE RANGER 540/6 VAN , and bailey were WAITING for the customers to get DAMP INTO THEIR VANS and send them back for repair , !!
We also found on the net last night yet another member with A RANGER 5 540/6 LIKE OURS WITH THE SAME WATER /DAMP INGREES PIONT , IE Though the bunk windows , we wonder if this is the same fault IE DEFECTIVE A SIDE PANEL we will be contacting them to get the full details
Hi Frank
Just read your thread re bailey damp problem,as we also have a bailey (ranger520\4 gt60) and are considering upgrading it we would appreciate if you could tell us the name of the dealer that treated you so dispicably. We will not name and shame them on this site.
my email is lawrence5alive at btinternet.com
Tbf, theres no evidence the dealer did treat him 'despicably'. If warranty work is required that needs caravan returning to factory then dealer can only work at the speed of Bailey.
