Bought a PDQ awning last year but did not erect it till february. We put it away bone dry but when we came to collect the caravan to go away 2 weeks ago the bag had dropped down over the door and it was full of water. When erected we found the colours had run and the bag is covered in mould. We dried it but again by last weekend it was again full of water. Have sent an e mail to FOURWAYS LEISURE but no response and I have tried ringing all week but no reply. Any ideas anyone?

Contact Pyramid products direct and ask for a full refund,Kevin Ball is the man to speak to, he must be pretty use to this now as they all seem to be the same, if you do a search on this forum there are countless threads about them, mine was just the same, we got ours exchanged for a portaporch but that was not much better so we sold it and moved on to something else.

We used ours for a weekend trip and it was okay as the weather was sunny and no wind. The awning was packed up but not left on the Caravan due to the problem you have mentioned being reported by members ages back.

Oh and it took us quite a while to get it correctly in place not a pdq job. rofl.

We find our PDQ porch awning very functional for short stays & has stood upto some heavy storms. Must admit don't leave it on the awning rail when we get back home, as it comes off easily & we like the option of using our full awning for longer stays.

It definatly serves our purpose as i have arthritis & find it nice & light to handle, very quick & easy to erect as well as taking it down. It travels coveniently on the rail making for a very speedy erection on site. I store ours in the summer house when not in use making sure dry first.

I agree the bag can gather water but the way we use it doesn't bother us, certainly not to the extent of outweighing the advantages. We bought ours 2nd hand from a guy in Nantwich that Eric recomended - so we still consider ours a bargain.plus a good back up to our full awning which take a lot more time & effort to erect & take down.

Cheers
