Hi all

Off to Fallbarrow Park 15th. This will be the 1st time we've used a super pitch, so my question is how much waste pipe to I need to take to connect  to the drainage system?

Are all super pitches approx the same set up?

Cheers

Bernie

Where is your waste outlet?, they need to reach the rear of your van and maybe to the front of your awning.

Similar for water, but this is only on the basis of 2 sites where all services where out of one post.

Thanks Richard, outlet is at rear of van. I do understant that if I need an adapter for the aquaroll but £25 seems a bit steep to pay for the luxury of not having to fill water up. (It would be worth it if we intended using superpitches regularly)

I went to fallbarrow last week, the waste was at the left hand side of the pitch in the middle, my waste outlets were are the right rear of the van, I needed a could couple of meters pipe, my 2 Meter pipe was way too short, I ended up having to connect another 1.5 meter section with the help of a bit of tape and then it only just reached.  So basicaly it will depend on the length of your vanand how far down the pitch your waste outlets are, I didnt put the van right down to the bottom of the concrete pitch either.

Just a quick point I dont know if it was just my pitch or what but I spent a couple of hours trying to tune the TV using the aerial socket provided. Couldnt get freeview no matter what I tried, I then decided to try analoge and it tuned in, so it is just analogue as far as I can tell that the pitch provides.

It was a great site, and well sheltered from any wind.

Cheers for this info

Which pitch no were you on? We've been allocated no 75, on the rh side when looking at a plan of the touring area.

One one the main reasons for booking (apart from closeness to the lake) was the short walk into  Bowness.

We were told just a couple of hundred yards fronm the site. is this what you found?

Thanks

Bernie

I found the water adapter more use!, we use 2 CL sites regularly and although small  have water to each plot.

That's a good point Richard, I didn't think of it that way.

Maybe a trip to the accessory shop for waste pipe & adapter!!!

We were at Fallbarrow last week as well and yes, it is only a 5 min walk if that into the centre of Bowness. I would say that you would need 5m of waste pipe to be safe - we didn't bother as we found it no hardship to empty the waste master down the drain on the pitch. We were on pitch 46 which was a bit noisy from the pub on site - 75 is probably right at the other end and much quieter. Toilets were immaculate and we were very impressed with the site.

Have a good time!!

Great, really looking forward  now.

site was recommended by a friend.

Some sites are a little too remote, especially if  like us,  you like to go for a couple of drinks in the evening.

We were looking at Fallbarrow last week as were staying at Holgates lovely but was a bit too cut off for us. The site looks lovely as do the pitches and bowness was lovely too nice little shops pubs cafes you can hire little boats to go on windermere and the fish and chips were not bad from the little chippy near the site. We want to book to go next spring bank break.

Sorry no idea how much waste pipe DH says always take plenty.

Once you have stayed at a super pitch you wont want anything else!!
