About 20 years ago we had the idea of marketing a tyre inflator and sealer as used by the foces. Try as we did, we couldn't get anyone to give us liability cover for this product. Our insurers told us that its alright for off road agricultural use, such as farmers. But it does not conform to a legal repair of the tyre. Also whilst driving you wouldn't know if you had a punture, so wouldn't take it in for a repair. I still think its a great idea, but wonder how the traders at the shows selling it have got over this one?
the thought of not knowing about a hole in the tyre when it happens is enough to put me off buying it.plus tyre places can get a bit awkward when they find this stuff in.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

Probably doesn't answer you question but I do know a lot of motorcyclists are using this product.
Tyre sealer is only a temporary repair. More & more new cars are supplied with a can instead of a spare wheel. Its only a get-you-home, the tyre has to be repaired properly asap.
