have bought an avondale leda malvern van,its a lovely van with no problems, except we cannot work out how to get the large seats to make a double bed.the table fits between the 2 smaller seats to make a smaller bed but as theres only 1 table how do we get the large double bed made up?? any ideas please.thanks x
I don't know specifically about that van, but is there a box built against the wall between the two seats - possibly looks like a shelf? If so, the chances are that it contains the slats that make up the bed. Either the shelf or a piece of wood under the shelf should pull out and be connected by webbing to the next slat, which is connected to the next etc.
If not and you can't find the other table (in a wardrobe or behind the washroom door?) I suspect you might have to do as we did with one of our old 'vans and make up bed-boards to fill the gap.

no, theres no shelf or wee cabinet thingy between the seats, theres definetly no other table either, hubby says he will probably have to make a board to fit between the seats.either that or we can sleep on the couches themselfs as they are wide enough to be comfortable on.thanks for your reply.x
hiya in my van i had to use the table but noticed the cushions were a bit damp in the morning due to condensation. To solve the problem i bought hardwood from local timber yard 2" x 1" and cut to lenghth to fit between seats. I then bought webbing and stapled it to the wood at regular intervals. It has been the perfect solution.
We have an 1992 Avondale Leda Malvern 6 berth and to make up the front double we have a shelf under the front window between the two seats that we pull to bring the webbed slats out to make up the bed. It's literally a box so probably really easy to make if you wanted to make your own. What year is yours?
