I just towed the van for 40 miles and then reversed the van into its slot (ok so i jack knifed it and stalled 12 ish times but got there in the end lol)

I am sooo proud of myself we all made it back whole no cyclist were injured in the making of the feat

If you were on the A49 from ludlow to Shrewsbury  today held up by traffic sorry

Well done, you made it safe and sound and enjoyed it too. It will get easier with practice I'm sure, however, there are manoeuvering courses or the option of a mover if  it doesn't.

have had  towing lesson and had i not been safe dh would have made me stop and taken over

(i want a mover rofl)

The cyclists were out in force yesterday, weren't they - son said it must be National Cycling Sunday. We followed a group of 6 all the way from the site to the main Worcester road. The one at the back kept looking behind to see why we weren't overtaking but there just wasn't room to go past all of them safely in between bends, especially with the van on the back.

strayed over from tents but soo glad read this. The first time we towed our first and only van, oh was white with fear and sweating buckets. We weren't allowed to talk to him or each other. He really hated it and needless to say we didn't keep the van long. We are now tenters but both (independently) have been thinking about getting another one as we would use it more now and be able to store it on drive. When oh said he would consider another one, great news!!

Never realised how hard/stressful it is pulling and glad it wasn't just us so massive well done bobsbabies and thanks for reminding me

maybe a course would help him  i would do one if i could
