You will also get their Magazines each month to keep you up-to-date with what's going on in the caravan & camping world.....it's almost worth it for those alone.
The CC magazine is fine - generally well written, useful, and not at all condescending.
The CC mag is very different - Think, 'Daily Star meets Britain's Got Talent' and you start to get an idea of its awfulness!
The editorial team obviously decided a long time ago that its readership were all devotees of the lowest tabloid newspapers, and adjusted their own output to suit the perceived lack of intelligence among club members.
It's not so much a 'Magazine' as a relentlessly cheerful propaganda sheet ('It's YOUR Club', Smile for YOUR Club', 'Come and do unpaid work for YOUR Club', 'These are the highly paid executives at HQ who work their manicured fingers to the bone in order to run YOUR Club' - that sort of nonsense) with each ghastly page of 'Pack up your troubles and smile' exhortations preceded by two more selling 'Club' branded financial products.
It's actually quite insulting, a tacit assumption that the majority of the membership must necessarily possess single digit IQ's - and the wretched business is not helped by the numerous photographs of Club bigwigs living high on the hog with generous expense accounts and all the other perks that they appear to find essential as they labour manfully to run Your Club'....
The grass roots membership are fine - you'll get the best weekend rallies and temporary holiday sites available - but the cabal at Greefields House ride on the backs of the ordinary members, contributing little, and taking a great deal.
On the other hand, if you simply adore new photo's of the ruling council beaming and smiling at you from every issue - then you're in for a treat
