Hi remember the bedguard and its wounderful finish and how after a few hours my little girl had spilnters from it?
well after a little email to and from Bailey I have just recieved this from Some Nice man????? Called Ian turner

Thank you for your email regarding the build quality of your new Ranger 540/6 GT60.

I am sorry that you find the quality in certain areas of the caravan unacceptable and would like to apologise for any discomfort caused to your daughter due to wood splinters. That said the component you speak of is cut out by CNC and can at times leave a rough edge, if it was unacceptably rough I do apologise but would have expected the selling retailer to have picked up the problem during PDI and caravan handover.

Again I can only apologise for the problems found and hope you accept our apology in the spirit it is intended
Then i told him not happy
AND This today

Of course it was down to ourselves to pick up any initial quality anomalies, obviously this fall out board was either overlooked by both Bailey and the retailer or was considered acceptable by both parties.

However after your email complaint our design team has changed the specification of the fall out board and we have introduced it to all our caravans that take this type of bunk configuration.

If you would like to furnish me with your address I will willingly send you out the new fall out board.

Hope this helps someone else too

But i think it is supposed to be secret
opps
Niall

I wonder what they have done, probably not cut the hole out of the middle, we have a new bailey 620/6 but will never use the bunk so our boards and ladder will head for the loft to be brought out when its sold, so no point in us getting a different one. Nice one for persisting especially when they fob you off with the PDI check rubbish. When we got our last van, an ace, the wardrobe door fell off on the way home from the dealer and scratched the wood, the dealer said they could not replace it as they could not be sure one of our kids had not damaged it, it took me to loose my temper in a busy showroom on a Saturday to get them to back down.

I would of done the same and then demanded my money back big time.

Saying that the first email i sent to bailey when my little girl got the splinters was not very nice.

Just waiting for the parcel now.

We bought our Loire last September and haven't even looked at the bunk bed stuff as we only use the side dinette as a seating area.  Our kids sleep on the front seats and we have our fixed bed.

Going to check next time we are in the van.

Thanks for the advice.
