ok so finally i find an awning advertised in our local paper for £100 - its an isabella and in immaculate condition although a little on the old side. Its a size 800 which the bloke said was to fit a 14ft van (which ours is) and didnt quote the size in cms, so we bought it. but when i measured our awning pole thing we need 820cm which is an isabella 825 it seems.
On the isabella website an 810cm awning measurement will fit the 800 size but an 820cm rail needs the 825. Does 10cm really matter or is there anyway to make it stretch just that little bit more?
Sorry may seem silly but i like my new awning and dont want to sell it on for the sake of a few cm that might not matter.
5 cm at each side is nothing & you could compensate with a plastic ladder link (available at any caravan/camp shop) to the pegs close to the van. I would try it as it is always better to have the awning taut. We use an 850 awning for 868 channel, no problems.
