Hi, We're thinking of buying a caravan and I had a couple of questions that I couldn't find the answers to online. Would be grateful if anyone can answer them.
1. Does the caravan water heater, heat water as it's used, or does it heat it up and store it in a tank. (Basically I want to know how long the shower will last).
2. Are the showers in a caravan reasonably powerful? Say compared to an domestic electric shower.
3. Casette toilets, does you have to fill the flush tank often? How doe you do this in a caravan with an end wash room.
4. How long will a caravan battery last (If no EHU) using lights shower etc?
1. It stores it in a tank, 2 or 3 minutes
2.Depends how good your domestic shower is, but it's adequate to get clean, but not to have a relaxing stay
3.Depends how many adults there are, assume every 2 or 3 days. No difference with end bathrooms, you access it through an external door. It's the same with emptying the toilet cassette
4 At least a week, if it's fully charged before you go.

1. carver heaters store 10 ltr`s of water, on ehu it will take 20 mins to heat your water and the heater is on a stat.
2 try and turn the shower off why you wash your hair etc, so wet your self turn off the water, why you wash then shower off, if you understand me. If your heater is gas and 240v. have the heater on both, so the water will heat up a bit quicker, depends on how powerful your pump is and shower head regarding the strengh of the shower.
3 depends on how you use the loo, and you fill the flush like any other van from the outside.
4 if you are using just the van lights and water pump should last you a week,

Thanks, another question I forgot to ask, can you travel with water in the toilet tank and use the loo en route?
best to stop first rather than doing stuntman tricks whilst on a motorway

That's a shame, they have just extended, but maybe they haven't yet got planning permission to fill it.
