Thanks to all of you that have been posting replies to my questions..........yes I am a caravanning newbie
I have a couple of questions about the Kojack hydraulic scissor jack, levelling aids
Q1.......I am not quite sure from the instructions where to place them on the chassis? in front of the wheels? behind the wheels? how far back or forward?
Can anyone tell me, any pictures would be a great help.
Q2.......How did you get the spirit levels lined up to the horizontal floor of the caravan?
Q2.......How did you get the spirit levels lined up to the horizontal floor of the caravan? at a guess , level the caravan using a small spirit level just inside the door , then bolt the brackets in place on the chassis and set them level when bolting. I would fix the brackets in the holes already on the alko chassis , and to the behind of the wheels .
One thimng I found in fitting them was the torque specified was quite high and took some achieving lying on my back. You might have a bit more room around the area on yours.
Allow plenty of time! I did this yesterday and it took 2-3 hours. It's a simple enough job - basically doing up 4 nuts & bolts, but it's tricky getting in the right place to reach everything properly. I also had to remove part of the waste water pipes and re-fit afterwards (a simple job - they just pulled out of the connector).
hi made my own yesterday, cost 5pounds for bits, i have turned brackets around so my bottle jack fit,s neatly.
