We used our standard Skye dish and our home Skye receiver in the south of France in the Dordogne last August and had the same channels as you get at home in the U K , and my wifes aunt who lives there , thats all they use on there house , it took me 2 mins to tune in

Check the links for Satellite for Caravans that I and others have posted in this thread. All the info you should need is there. However, the Astra North beam covers most (if not all) of France, so the same tuning you use in UK should work in France - although you'll probably need a larger dish.
