Took van out at the weekend. Had a fab time apart from my 8 month niece had a slight accident on one of the sofa cushions. It is one of the small cushions that makes up the bunkbed. He cushion has dried but Im worried it will start to smell. Would it be wise to stick it in the bath to get it out of the foam? I thought in this weeks heatwave??? it would dry quick enough.

If you cannot remove the cover from the cushion i would be tempted to do the same. Just make sure you hang it up to dry for as long as possible.

Had to do a similar thing with the carpet from a car, Spilt milk on it. Tried cleaning it in the car with no success. Hosed it down in the garden & left it overnight in the bath to soak with a whole tub of bicarb of soda.

Sorted.

can you get your hands on a carpet cleaner? the type that sucks the dirty water out, i guarentee that the cushoin will be dry in under an hr if you do it this week some time. we did this to our old van and i was amazed at the amount of much that came out of it, (this was us cleaning the van immedialty after getting it and taking it home to clean before packing - not our muck)
