I'm not sure what to do - help? In mid March I ordered a brand spanking new Bailey Pageant S7 Sancerre which was delivered the last week of May. Early April I went to the local dealer and ordered a Fiamma Privacy room awning. So far so good.

Then I read either here or in the Caravan Club magazine that keeping a Fiamma type thing in the awning channel permanently would invalidate the warrenty.

Dealer who sold me the awning reckons no probs, this type of sunshade / awning was designed to be left in the awning channel ergo no probs too. I've asked for an opinion from Bailey before I pay for the awning but wonder whether I woulnd't be better off not bothering as the caravan is big enough anyway?

Help!

We use a Fiamma Caravanstore Zip. We are not worried about carrying it on the van, but we do remove it over winter.

Think of the strain on an awning rail with a full awning on a windy day!

I think the CC were just being cautious and "covering themselves".

There is no exclusion in our warranty regarding these awnings.
