Phoned the dealer today because our new Bailey Ranger GT60 540/6 was due in this week and it arrived yesterday.  Dealer couldn't phone us as he has been on his own for the past couple of days which appears to be true due to not being able to get hold of him the 1st couple of tries and speaking to someone, each time, who didn't seem to have a clue lol.  But finally got through to the right person and he said to come in tomorrow to check it over and then we will find out when we can pick it up.  We are having a motor mover fitted and an external plug socket.  I'm really hoping that we can pick it up next Friday cos dh has the day off but not sure whether the dealer can possibly do both in a week??

But i'm going to see it and it's almost home.  I'm just so excited...

Ps check the middle bed board does not have the "cut out" in it as it was updated due to the ankle biter geting splinters can send you a copy of Baileys email if you want.

Dave - the old one is still out the back.  I can't bear to let it go just yet lol.  Though that is more to do with superstition than not wanting it to go.  She was a lovely 'van and is going to a very good home with my aunt and uncle so that makes it easier but just seeing my new 'van tomorrow will make it a hell of a lot easier lol

Bill - I bet you are loving your new 'van.  Ours is/was 17 years old and the 1st time away in her was brilliant, have a great time

Niall - i've read all your posts so will be checking her over.  I was so pleased when the dealer told us to come tomorrow to check her out as that gives me hope that he will be on our side if there are any problems.  I bl**dy hope that there isn't as i won't be too pleased lol.  I'll make sure that i check the middle bunks board is in one piece or if it's not that no-one will get splinters. Though it SHOULD be in one piece.  Not too sure about shakespear think the manuals might make more interesting reading lol 

Anything else i should check whilst i'm there?

Soooo excited for you....we picked ours up yesterday (being our first 'van) and I've been waking up sooooo early just thinking where I'm going to put stuff - sad I know!

Congratulations on you new 'van.  It is so exciting!  Couldn't sleep last night lol.  Sad?  No way, lol, it's completely normal isn't it lol?  Just waiting for dh to get home from work and we will go and see it and find out when we'll be getting her home.

Well we've been and seen my new baby!  And she is every bit as perfect as i remember. 

Niall, it now has a filled in bed board so that is good.

Had a bit of a worry when we were inspecting the outside as dh thought he saw a crack on the top but it was just a bit of mastic so feeling like a crack.  Has anyone else noticed the big bits of mastic stuck on all four corners of the roor on the GT60's?  All of them had it and it looks weird but not enough for us to say "no" lol.

Picking her up Friday!!  Though dealer did say that if there were any problems he'd phone as they are uber busy!!  I just can't wait now...

Yes Bailey seem to like the Mastic they must have shares in  the company that make the stuff wait untill you wash the roof and you see how much is up there.

asda have 4.5 tog duvet's at £3 for singles perfect for a new van!!!!

Agree whole heartedly that Bailey must have some kind of deal with the makers of mastic even the dealer commented on it lol.

Luckily my single duvets breed and i somehow have 4 spare single duvets!!!  Prefer the kids to have sleeping bags though i want to protect the mattresses what sheets are going to be small enougth to fit on them?? 

matalan have some fitted singles at £3 but a tad too big. asda have some doubles at £5 so the boss is going to cut and sew to size
