Hi guys we're looking at an Elddis 2005 6 berth later on today and i need some advice please! Hubby spoke to the guy on the phone last night and he seemed genuine enough. The thing is the van was involved in an accident and has had a whole new side put on. Hence hubby getting it a lot cheaper than normal. What sort of questions should we be asking and who can we contact regarding the damage to the van...as in to find out if its road worthy etc. What would be the deal with CRIS? Would there be a problem insuring it?

Any advice much appreciated ta!

Never contemplated a repaired van but my concerns would be water ingress, ie has it been done properly and had regular damp tests since?  I would speak to somebody like the caravan club insurance department for advice on insuring post accident and also CRIS to find out the state of play.
