Someone on ebay is listing a Mayfly as a 1997 when it is clearly a 1990/1, there is a 1990 Mayfly listed further down the listings which is identical as the 1997 one listed. There are seven bids on up till now, some one is in for a shock.

1991 or older. No picture of the toilet so cannot see if its a cassette one. Maybe even older than that.

Hi, I saw a avondale Sandmartin the same as mine which is 1988. The one on fleabay was listed as 1994. I emailed the seller to see what the serial number was that is etched onto the windows on all avondales knowing that the first two figures of the serial number is the year of manufacture. Sure enough 1988. I told him this and he revised the listing with correct date of manufacture. Cheers Mick.

Yes it is a 1990/1/2 as we had one similar an Avondale Kestrel and it was the same on the outside....... why can't people get stuff so simple correct.... I feel for those that had bid and the winner.

Just emailed the seller and they say that it says 1997 on the chassis. No numbers on windows so maybe I am wrong but I thought that that shape stopped in 1993-4.

post 92 all windows were etched with the chassis number as agreed with CRIS.only imports and small makers of vans opted out. it is possible to be reg in 97.my book says avondale falcon 1996 .how to identify = vin number tenth character gives year model.at the botton says also concider mayfly and sandmartin and avocet.

Our old Avondale Kestrel had CRIS numbers on windows and was a 91/92 model and it had the same outside graphics and the inside was the same as the Mayfly advertised on ebay... I think this man has got it wrong.

Hi Suzzie, the large pic of a Mayfly you listed first is identical to mine including the graphics except mine has "Classic 25" just before the word Mayfly on the side panels, which I believe relates to a 25th year of Avondale production and it is a 1996 model
