i have found this on e bay, i have 8000 to spend on a van, are these ok ? is there anything to look for ?

Looks really nice but like all these things, don't part with any money unless you have seen it.  Take a damp meter, check it out thoroughly and state from the outset that if it is not as depicted in the listing, you won't be buying!

Lots of scammers around right now so do exercise caution.

ask for the CRIS NUMBER and check it with CRIS.ask about a damp test and see results before you part with your money.DAMP TEST is most important.

what am i checking with cris ? what will they be able to tell me about the van ? and by the seem of things if its ok and i get it for around 8000 ive not done bad then..right ?....sorry for the questions but i know you guys on here are caravan gurus.

CRIS is like a log book on a car, except for a caravan.  You need to check that the van is registered to the people you are buying off of and doesn't have any finance on it.  It does cost, something like £10 ish, can't exactly remember as has been 3 years since I did it, but worth doing when spending that much!

hi john, thank you for your kind offer, and it is a kind offer but i would hate for you to do this just in case anything goes wrong, not sure where this van is so i have gone into e bay and scanned his i p addy and he comes from a place called britling sea ?? not sure where that is, please dont think i am being ungratefull with your offer john but if it goes wrong i would only like to blame myself, if i decide to bid it will be on the understanding that there is no damp and the cris documents are in order, also thank you to all the other members on here that have inputed some advice
