We bought a 20-month old Bailey Ranger a couple of weeks ago from a family who had it sited all year round and hadn't had it serviced. So I booked it in and have picked it up from Canwells tonight with a clean bill of health! Bailey have agreed to reinstate the warranty so I've got peace of mind for the next few years too.
Having read some of the nightmare stories of damp on this forum, relieved is not the word.....

Well done to Bailey for reinstaing the warranty. I bet thats a big piece of mind on buying your van.
Absolutely Chris. The main aspect is the 4-and-a-bit years left on the anti-damp warranty so it was well worth getting the service done.

Good news that you will have the remainder of the warranty but it's Beggars Belief why the previous owners spent many thousands of pound buying the van and yet risked losing the warranty by not having it serviced .

I think the main reason was that they didn't have a towbar on their car and had a friend drag it to the site and then back when they put it up for sale. Still, for the sake of a drink or three, I'd have asked the mate to take it to a service centre.
