sounds like it could be damaged by a kerb or a rod buckled slightly ..or maybe the hexagon shaft has to be engaged in the wrench socket earlier than your doing it ..you really need another person engaging the wrench while your underneath looking for what maybe a simple solution.. i hope so .otherwise a caravan service workshop or truma fitter will fix it cheaply ...good luck and welcome to the forum
