Hi, Hubby's going out this afternoon to look at another van. Luckily this one isn't too far away! Its an Elddis Superstorm 1995 5 berth. The guy had it up for £4000. Hubby said can i be cheeky and offer you £3000 and the guy said well if you don't ask you don't get and yes i'll accept your offer. He claims everything is working and theres no damp, but i've told hubby to bring his electric lead with him and get hold of a damp meter! Can we get one from B&Q?
I'm off now to clean up our van and hopefully hubby will be able to get hold of the chap who wanted it as he got back from hols last night. Failing that we're going to stick it out the front of the house and put a for sale sign in the window for £1500.
Aww thanks guys! I don't hold out much hope though. The guys just txt to say he has someone else coming out to see it and will let us know in the next half hr either way....sigh.
They are bound to offer him better money than we have if its any good. If they don't want it then we have to question why and is it worth our time going down. I feel really fed up at the mo. Not only because of the caravan but my toddler too. The little toad climbed up onto the dining room table and tipped a big bowl of water all over the table and floor grrrrrrr! I was in the process of cleaning the chairs.
Its gone! Ahh well, fair play to the seller he got the £4000 buy it now price he wanted. I'm feeling alright now, i've just been having a laugh with my friend and she's cheered me up. Caravan hunting has become a bit of a hobby for hubby, so it would only spoil his fun if we found one too soon
The right van for you will turn up, we had a right knock before we got our van. had looked for months for one we could afford put a deposit down on what we thought was a dream van just before xmas last year, we sorted picking it up in the spring when we could sell our trailer tent the night before we were due to pick it up it all went wrong as the dealer phoned to say it wasnt ready, things went from bad to worse, I cried buckets I thought it been spring we would never find another van. then spoted one ebay that was more than perfect, we sorted going to look the next day, we arrived at the van before the seller about ten mins later more people turned up to look I was so upset thought we would never get it. the other couple said to us they would step back as we were thier first! we did an amazing deal on the van and got so much more for less money than the first van. so dont geive up hope your van is out there just waitting to be found!

Aww i like a happy ending! I bet that felt awkward though when they turned up too! Poor things walking away empty handed though, the seller didn't organise that very well did they!
We're off out this morning in the hunt for some bits to fix our loo n fridge. i thnk we'll have a better chance of selling it that way. If our buyer doesn't contact us in the next wk we are thinking of keeping the hobby till next spring and saving up more money for a newish van.
Hi Carmey33, I watched the Avondale caravan I mentioned to you on EBay and it sold this morning for £3500. Only one bidder too. Possibly a good idea to keep your Hobby for now and use it for this summer, and save up for next year. Good luck with your search...be patient and the right van will come along.
