Picked up our new Bailey Pageant Bretagne on Friday and can't believe we hadn't noticed that the battery box was on the other side of the van to our old Ranger. Big problem as when we store it in the garage it has to be tight up on that side against the wall - so we can't turn off the motor mover we use to get it in. Also can't remove battery to charge it over winter etc etc. Can't store van on other side against wall as wouldn't be able to get in and out as door on opposite side.

Why did they have to change something which worked fine for us!!!!

Also does the awning draught skirt have to be in 2 pieces - to feed either side of the wheel - only the track ends with a piece of trim either side of the wheel so the skirt can't be fed continuously?

I haven't looked on our new one but, on our series 5 the wires for the motor mover came in under the front bed & then into the battery box so, you could have had a switch put in there so you could switch it on & off from inside the van. I.ve just been out to check the set up for the awning skirt set up to see if it's the same as yours. I see the small trim finish each side of the wheel but, the skirt does run across from one to the other no problem, the entry point does look different but I've just tried ours & it goes through OK.

Thanks for replies - hubbie spoke to dealer and has managed to reroute the mover switch to inside the wardrobe which solves 1 of our problems.

Thanks for letting me know the awning skirt feeds thru ok too - as van is in garage i can't get to it to try it!
