whilst we were on our way home from the coast on thursday we deciced to stop for a cuppa , as soon as we pulled up a guy on a m/cycle came up to the car window, '' do you know your pulling about 30ft of trim behind you?'', we got out and sure enough all the rubber trim from the awning rail was dragging along the ground behind us.all I could do was coil it up and stick it in the caravan. as soon as we got to the storage we saw the dealer putting someones caravan back and mentioned it to him, apparently if its put in on a hot day and stretched a bit then the wind can get behind it and pull it out. I dont know if its true or not but they are going to sort it out before we go away again in 10 days oh yea and fix the heating as the fire only works on gas !!!!! mystery to me are caravans lol atb Bill

I would replace it now,its only about 60p a metre,I have done all mine as it starts to go hard, some end caps screw through the trim to stop it comming out.

If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.
ive replaced all my rubber trim and never heard about wind getting behind it, but yes they do get streched when you put them in and you normally have to cut the strip to long and leave it to settle, if you strip isnt damaged just use a small flat blade screw driver to put it back in.
as for the fire talk to gary at arc systems about them electric side of it, he's the god of that.
