Hi all, anyone out there know where I can get a hight level 3rd brake light that will mount on the outside of a caravan - ie on a van with no rear window. I realise I could fit two new standard light units up high but idealy would like to mount on curve of roof at the back of the van - less holes and wiring. Cheers. Del.

OK, I just have to ask this...Why?
Not sure on the origional reason but am glad the new van has one on. Last year coming home from Yarmouth i had a real pr**k following me in a truck. Despite the fact i was travelling at 50MPH he was so close behind me the only thing i could see through the rear of the caravan was his Mercedes badge. I wanted to pull over and let it past but he was so close he would not have seen my brake or indicator lights. Nearly caused a major pileup as a car overtook him not knowing i was directly infront and then had nowhere to pull in to avaoid oncoming traffic. When we got to a dual carriagway i slowed to let him past but OH got his company details so his bosses got a nice phone call
Thanks Sean, looks a bit over-the-top but would certainly do the job - I'll give it some thought. I remember seeing on eBay a few years ago a unit about 10inches wide you could screw on. As for "why?" Legs Down - (1) I don't have a high level brake light on my van and the higher up it is the more cars behind me can see it. (2) I have a crewcab pickup with a canopy on the back. When I got it it had a brake light mounted inside the lift up window of the canopy but I kept ripping my scalp on it every time I went to get something out of the back!! Hopefully I can get 2 and sort both problems. Thanks.
I bought a flush fitting LED brake light off Ebay about £18 icluding postage. I fitted it as high as possible and connected it to my rear light cluster, very effective. My son in law also bought one after seeing mine and I fitted it to the roof of his Camper
