We would like to say a big thank you to the AA who saved our holiday, We left Felixstowe in suffolk at 4am last thursday heading for Bude in Cornwall, after doing battle on the M25 we pulled into a sevices on the M4 for a "tea n pee" break, when we went to leave, the car (landrover discovery) wouldn't start! The nice AA man diagnosed the problem as a knackerd fuel pump which he couldn't fix so it was the recovery truck for us! We were Relayed all the way to Bude arriving at 8:30pm, the car was then taken to a local specialist "tredown landrover" who also lent me a runaround (thanks guys). The car was fixed by the end of the next day with a new fuel pump, filter and some new injector seals,
So we would like to say a great BIG THANK YOU to the AA

They came up trumps for us last year when we broke down on the way to Oswestry in Shropshire. We lost a wheel off the trailer we were towing, which had a small tractor and a crawler on it. The AA were there in record time with a suitable recovery truck, he phoned all over to get us a replacement wheel but because of its odd size couldn't find one, so loaded the trailer and its contents onto the truck and brought it back home for us while we followed in the van. It was the first time in several years of membership that we had to use them, and we certainly had no complaints.

Totally agree, I lost a wheel on the van, not lost exactly as it was still attached but at a very strange angle?
The guy loaded the van on the back of his truck and we followed.
Then the wheel bearing went on the car and recovered from Skeg back home
Then due to a knacked alternator, had to be recovered of the M25 having just flown back from Thailand, I reckon we were home less than 3 hours late.
After all that in just over 12 months they rang to ask how I felt the service was?, I could offer nothing but thanks and apologies on my part, the lass said no problem you can have six recoveries in one year without question!!
Agree with all. We were on a site in Stranraer some years ago, and the on the way back to the site from town the engine blew [Timing belt failed]. I called the AA out and they arrived promptly and the operative sat in his vehicle behind ours till I arrived back, my wife being alone in the car. They couldnt fix it [obviously] but towed us back to the site, and arranged for car, caravan and us to be transported home on the Monday after our long weekend. Can't speak highly enough of the other campers who offered lifts to shops etc if we needed it. Great service, which is why we have remained loyal to them since.
