We are always having problems with our water pump and in just over 4 years we are now on our 6th one.  Most only last a few months with only two lasting 14 months before they packed in.  Two packed in within less than three months.  Luckily of the 6 the dealer replaced 4 of them free of charge.

We are now looking a replacing the Crstal unit with a Reich unit but am I correct in assuming that the socket part of the crystal will need to be removed as the Reich cannot plug into it. I can find plenty of info on the pump but not how it is connected to the water pipes in the caravan.

When our pump packed in on us last year we just bought a replacement pump, rather than the full unit, as it was lot cheaper.(saved about £30) Had to connect wiring ourselves, which was a little fiddly.  You can replace the pump part with any make you like as long as it is 12v and you are prepared to connect it to the 'plug' yourself.
