Hi does anybody use these in their caravan water bottles, especially when they have not been used for three or four weeks at a time. Do you take the caps off the empty bottles or bottle to air them or just leave them empty when parking the van up?
I store my aquaroll with lid on and don't bother doing anything to it if it is for 4 weeks. I will not be using mine for 2 months now (due to curcumstances I am unable to get away), and I will use milton on it before I use it.
But then... I only use the water to do dishes and get a wash, for everything else (tea, food, etc) I use bottled.
Cheers
Richard

I leave mine with caps of to breath, if its for any length of time I throw a 1/4 of a sterilising tablet in the bottom, same with the waste, stops it smelling.
I have just returned from a week in Norfolk and I only have two 10ltr bottles for washing and washing up, (limited space) but also drank it from the tap. I used approximately 10lts a day so filled one bottle every day which i thought was quite fresh. I am not sure now though as I have had stomach ache since coming home, that is why I asked the question about the purifying tablets. What happens with water drying out in the pipes between the bottles and the taps, how do you deal with that.
Hi, a very appropriate post for me as I have just used milton in our aquaroll. We've only used the aquaroll for washing etc. and bottled for drinking but at least the pipes are getting a good clean.
