Well, we are heading off on our first 'big' holiday with the caravan this weekend - 4am sunday we are setting off to Bunree CC Site for 8 nights and then down to Troutbeck Head CC Site for 4 nights. Weather forecast for scotland isnt exactly favourable but hey this is the UK so im not gonna let it spoil my holiday.
Currently im cleaning the house from top to bottom and have sent hubby off to the 24 hour supermarket to get a few bits of shopping! Having a quick cuppa tea and then back to it. prob wont be in bed before 2am at this rate got loads to do.
Hopefully, our holiday will be fantastic and as good as we are hoping for. Have contacted breakdown service (AA) and insurance to make sure we are covered with the van and have dug out caravan insurance info just in case the worst happens.
A terrific day trip from Bunree is to head out to Ardnamurchan Point - the most westerly point on mainland Britain. The scenery is amazing, and so is the drive - tiny, singletrack roads which wind by lochsides and through the mountains. And the lighthouse at the end of the drive is pretty interesting, too.
thanks all! Only 9 and a half hours to go before we set off and i cant wait! i think ive got everything we will need but cant help thinking ive forgotten something oh well, cant drive myself with that now its too late lol. going to the supermarket for a few bits later on (sent hubby last night and he thought 'a few bits of shopping' meant coca cola and malted milk biscuits - im not kidding!) yet another job i should have done myself from the beginning!
thanks for the tips and links, of course beer and wine are already in the van lol! Priorities and all that!
