We were thinking of using one. My wife gets a bad back which ever way we put the cushions together. Please let me know how you get on with it if you get one.

we've got one a silent night one, that I paid forty quid for, which Tesco's were selling for £80, we put a duvet cover over it and roll it out every night, much more comfortable, problem is that when we get home I dont think our bed is comfortable any more !!

We do exactly the same as AliHo. The duvet cover acts as a bottom sheet and during the day we fold it in 3, roll it up and secure it with a bungee, It them fits nicely in the bottom of the wardrobe

We bought a shaped one from Jonic for our fixed bed, it was dear, £156 but it is soooo comfy.

We use a topper from IKEA approx 2inches thick, and fix a sheet to it, roll it up and store it on car back sets during day...so just roll it out to make bed up....huge difference.

Why don't you be a bit cheeky and go to a bed shop and have a try?

Be warned though. There are 'ordinary' foam toppers around that are quite cheap and really only add an extra layer. Memory foam is the way to go and these vary widely in price. We have a QVC outlet store in Shrewsbury and they sometimes have them in at very good prices. We bought a double from there for £40 and it's fine but does not have a cover, unlike our king size which we bought from a market for the same price. Both are good to sleep on.

We plan to use the double in our caravan when we get away in a couple of weeks time.

We bought a 7.5 cm thick one from ebay for about 60 quid-the caravan cushions played havoc with my back and i regularly woke through the night in spasm!! The topper has changed all that-its fab! I sleep all night now!Would recommend one.Tip-get one with a cover already on it,then you can put a bottom sheet over that-trying to put your own cover on is a nightmare cos the topper 'grips' it as you try to put it on!!

WE've got a memory foam thingie! We put a sleeping bag on top (can't be bothered to put a sheet on each night!) and it's so comfy, we both sleep very well! It rolls up enough to put in the locker and is well worth the extra minute or so to put on the bed!

I used to use a memory foam topper before we got the fixed be and it was lovely, it wasn't one of the really expensive ones but it did the trick.

Got a memory foam king size topper too, made a huge difference. We use a quilt cover over the foam, this acts as a bottom sheet. Then use a duvet. In the morning the whole lot, duvet included is simply rolled up, held with a couple of straps, and then as we have a U shaped seating area we roll it straight into the front locker which is the full width of the van, and chuck the pillows in afterwards. 2-3 minutes and its all stowed. Equally easy to get out too at night.
