Following on from the Glossop Caravans thread, has anyone had any dealings with Droylesden Caravans?
Apparently some years ago Tommy Laing fell out with his two brothers at Glossop Caravans and started Droylesden Caravans.
Maybe he fell out with them because of the way the other two brothers treated the public. Does anyone know what their service is like?
or maybe he fell out with them because of family issues, something to which is probably a private matter and not for disscusion or debate on a public forum.
We bought our van from them in Feb - the site in Droylesdon has closed (they were forced to sell to the council or something like that) so they're now using the one up in Standish.
Ours is a 1999 Elddis Firestorm 5 berth (Barrons dealer special version of the Avante). We've been really pleased with it. Yes, we paid over the odds but at the time 5 berths that were'n't musty & manky were gone as soon as they were advertised.
It's a great van & the only issue we've had was having to replace the leisure battery whilst away a couple of weeks ago.
It was serviced before we picked it up & as it's our 1st van they spent a good hour going through everything with us & made us hitch it up twice to make sure we knew what we were doing.
I had never heard of Droylesden Caravans at Standish until an elderly couple very strongly recommended them. I bought a Pennine Sterling Folding Camper from there. We were given a really good deal. Now we have been back to them and bought a 5 berth tourer. Again the price was less than any competitors and we were treated like "best friends". We have told a few people about them and the ones who have been there are all well satisfied.
While trawling the ads for a caravan, I've noticed Oldham Caravans, which seem to use the same way to write the name as Glossop do, anyone know if they're 'related'?
