I've also got an ABI, the Cricket a 5 berth 1992 limited edition model. At 17 years old the interior is still like new and the exterior just has a couple of knocks. They are solid and reliable vans.
There's a very helpful ABI Caravan Owners Club. Not only do they give helpful advice, but they'll send you a manual for your van for the price of a stamp.
Had mine since December - great little van - the 12/2 Starlet. Only issue is the water heather gave up the ghost last time I was away - so gotta have a look at that to see if it is fixable or not.
We had an Abbey Ace Pioneer XL. Only discovered on our first night that the front double was only 3' 4" wide. Had to sleep with a lot hanging over the edge, but at least my wife didn't mind me getting up in the wee small hours to go fishing.
The toilet compartment had the corner cut off with a folding inward opening door. I revamped it so the door opened outwards. made a huge difference.
we had the abi version of the marauder, was a nice van, light enough to tow with normal car.had to sell recently due to health probs.didn't want to as it was nice just sitting in it in my own little world.Hope to get similar again when the time is right
We bought an ABI 450ctl 4 berth, took it to Cornwall for two weeks and absouloutly loved it. It is 18 years old and spotless, no damp, really, comfy and cosy and the kids (age 10 & 6) love the bunk beds.
