Compared to what other campers are telling me, I get the impression that we use more gas than average.  Is this most likely because we do a lot of outdoor cooking (Cadac), as I would imagine, being in the open, it is less efficient than a caravan oven?  Do other users of gas Cadac/BBQ cooking appliances get a similarly higher gas usage?

reading this thread with interest.  Just returned to camping after a 17 year break and having hired a campervan in June and just tried out our new Outwell tent (back today) I was delighted to find that all my old gear bought 38 years ago still works fine ;-) .  I dug out our R907 and regulator and was just guessing as to how full it would be or even if it would still work after 16 years in the garage.  It's done us fine for 5 days but I used to know the full cylinder weight and by simply using an old spring balance be able to measure the weight of gaz remaining.  That bit of knowledge has slipped from my memory.  So anyone give me the full and empty weight of Gaz 907's and 904's AND now that Calor is a viable alternative the weights for the smaller Calor cylinders full and empty? 

Unless I'm missing the link this info isn't on the GAZ web site....  only the weight of Gaz in each container?

Each calor cylinder has a metal tag on it with its individual weight.  I presume this is because of fluctuations in weight between cylinders of the same type and capacity.
