well i hope the wood fittings are of a beech colour .i dont like the orangey coloured wood seen in most of the new vans
This is the sole reason why we have bought a 2005 550/6. I wanted a 2007 but the lovely wife didnt like the colour of the wood inside!
Aparently it makes all the difference!!!

I didn't like the orangey wood of our Ranger at first, but it makes it feel warm in Winter. Don't like the teak of the new ones either though! Reminds me of my Gran's front room in the 70's.
From the posh grab handles in the promotion picture, I'm guessing the Pegasus is going to be a high-end model rather than a Discovery or Ranger replacement.

I see there is going to be a new range of Bailey touring caravans released at the NEC Show soon, they are to be added to the existing ranges and called Pegasus.
I had mentioned this new range in another forum as were trying to purchase a Bailey Pageant Ardennes (the Bramble competion winner). This layout seems to have been dropped by Bailey rather quickly, despite a lot of sales and very positive feedback (although a version of it is appearing as a 2010 Swift Charisma 545).
Is it about to be reborn I wonder ???? We find out in 2 weeks.

------------- The things that come to those who wait, may be the only things left by those who got there first.
I think it must be a range between the pageant and the senator, because they raised the price of the senator before October show. This must have been done so the new one can slot in between them.
after a bit of a google, i found a bit of a teaser about a Pegasus 544 saying one was spotted on M5 near Bristol and this
"well via colleague in industry and a reliable source at the factory I have seen a sneaky preview picture and I can tell you it's nothing to write home about from the outside....just looks like a Bailey Caravan with a quirky front end....
HOWEVER, I am also informed that the design and construction IS to write home about.....and that is from a very senior 'design' guru in the automotive sector.... "
Supposedly it will make the industry sit up and think. To be honest they must be loving the buzz about their new van!
------------- If you see 2010 Hobby Prestige 720 UKFE twin axel 30ft caravan it may be mine.... it was stolen.

Wouldn't it be great to have the choice? The lack of options in caravans is an area that needs to be addressed by manufacturers. At the moment most build them to suit their factory, rather than to suit their customers.
