Or if you come off at junction 23 for Puriton just 5 mins from the motorway there is a campsite called, erm, Fairways I think it is! If you need a proper stop over this one would be very handy.
there is a camp site 2 mins from motorway hard standings at cheltenham, good stop over called Briarfields, i think a camp site is better than motorway and camp site they have free showers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To answer the original question. Yes, Sedgemoor does have a seperate area for caravans that you can use to stop over. But, during the height of Summer hols, it's quite busy !
I too recommend Briarfields-we stayed there overnight a couple of weeks ago, after being recommended it on here.It really is a lovely site,we will stay on it again, only next time for a couple more nights as its so nice.
We often do a stopover if we are on the way to Cornwall - mainly to avoid the busy times of day with traffic.
As has been said, the noise levels on motorway services can be high - especially from refrigerated HGV units.
Much better to find a campsite close to the motorway. We have tried the services several times, but much prefer to use a campsite. (Fairways is okay, just for an overnight stop but we have used the C&CC site at Weston super Mare - only 10 mins from the M5)
at junction 17 patchway there is a very large 24 hr walmart/asda it has a massive carpark,I have been stopping here for the last 5 years+ along with a few other caravans and motor homes,Did notice this year (10 days ago) that in the very top corner of the car park there were some hgvs parked up curtains in cab closed. Its about 1/2 a mile off the motorway so its quite,
