Oh well if you can give an example you must be right...Oh wait, here are two examples of old wrinklies going the wrong way up the motorway. One age 68, the other aged 73.

We can all quote different stories including me. What I can say I have just returned from a camping weekend with a motorcyle club. There were several there what you and others insist on calling us old wrinkles who have traveld several miles to attend, some from Southern Ireland. We have to have our wits about and watch out for car drivers who just think they can beat us when pulling out of junctions. Most of these are usualy young to middle age. What does upset most of us is that we can tell they have seen us by the way they look at us when they have done it. We can all have a go at people here from caravan drivers towing too fast (which was the origanal post) to other forms of anti social driving. All the comments on here will not have any effect.

This is one thread that has digressed too far from where it started.
No. The speed limit has not changed. Some people do choose to exceed it, others choose to go ridiculously slow.
Both cause accidents, primarily because it is the speed
difference that causes accidents, not speed itself.
If the clown who pulled out in front of me from the slip road at 35 mph this afternoon in a Ford Transit is reading, then I want to point out he is just as dangerous as the clown in the Audi A4 who went past me this morning at about 90 this morning. In fact probably more so as there was no traffic on the road this morning (other than myself and the aforementioned Audi)
The Audi driver deserved to be prosecuted for speeding and the Transit driver deserved to be done for dangerous driving.

you dont have much luck with sliproads do you ??
i can count on the fingers of one hand the amount of times ive had a problem with that, but there again I read the road, anticipate what may happen and pull over a lane at a junction sliproad or alter my speed to suit the developing conditions
In fact probably more so as there was no traffic on the road this morning
then why was it a problem ?? 2 cars on the road plus a clown & you nearly ran into the back of him??? i dont get it mate

FFS I didn't run into the back of anyone. I was passed by a speeding motorist a 4.45 am. At 3.45 pm some clown pulled out in front of me at 35 mph. I had to slow from 60 because he couldn't be arsed to keep up with the flow of traffic. I didn't hit anyone. I was attempting to do a steady 60 mph but was unable to do this due to the clown. Because the traffic was heavy, I was unable to change lanes safely for some time... Unless I pulled out and caused eberyone else to slow down. The two incidents were not simultaneous. There were lots of cars and lorries on the road this afternoon.
The more observant of you would have read the whole post and seen words like "morning" and "afternoon"
But then there are others who just want to finger point. For what it's worth, it is always the same junction too. Whilst it is uphill, there is no excuse for 35mph in a 70 zone.
