We are interested in buying an old van to take to France and leave on site Our old van is leaking. We want to spend about £1500- 1700. We are  therfore looking at about 1995 ish  I guess were there fixed bed ones available then.

Kate,fixed beds didnt appear until 99 2000.but if you buy a van with rear double you can leave it made up

I think the continental vans went fixed bed earlier than UK vans but tended to have a lot less creature comforts

With the rear double idea you could put a proper mattress on in lieu of the cushions.
